"Propagating Dharma through cultural activities" and "nurturing talents through education" has always been one of Venerable Master Hsing Yun's primary goals for founding Fo Guang Shan. Humanistic Buddhist Reading Association was founded in 2002 hoping to guide Buddhists to determine the fundamental basis of Buddhism through studying Buddhism Classics, reading and looking for answers in different stages of life, thus enabling a platform for continued learning. And from the dialogue to reflect and inspire everyone the wisdom of creativity thereby enhancing one's religious level in life. Humanistic Buddhist Reading Association also provides members a discussion opportunity allowing everyone to explore the Dharma direction.
Humanistic Buddhist Reading Association will utilize One Hundred Lessons on Monastery Languages and Affairs and various Buddhist textbooks as the main discussion and reading materials.
