SERVING OUR COMMUNITIES

BLIA’s service to our communities range from the local—chapters volunteering together—to global. There is no country in the world that is not experiencing, first-hand, the drastic effects of climate change, resulting in climate-related disasters. However, the most vulnerable tend to be the poorest, and BLIA helps to restore the people’s health, safety, education, and economic well-being and helps them to survive, recover, and gain control of their future.

“Compassion is truth in its purest form.”
-Venerable Master Hsing Yun

Emergency & disaster relief

Our disaster risk management is focused on urgent collective action with a “four-in-one” rescue system (rescue, medical care, providing human resources, and humanitarian aid). BLIA has provided emergency and disaster relief, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, and beliefs, in Sichuan, China; Indonesia; Malaysia; Nepal, and Thailand.
